Cheap Men's Wedding Bands: 6 Picks Under $500, Priced and Compared

Verified with 11 sources

RingReel may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. Picks come from our research, never from payment. How we make money

The best cheap men’s wedding bands are tungsten and titanium, because those two metals are what make a men’s band cheap: on 14 September 2026 we read plain men’s bands in both under $120, against solid 14K gold from $435 at a slim width. Our top pick is Northern Royal’s Men’s Silver Classic tungsten band, not because it is the cheapest but because its seller gives the longest return window we found and a free size exchange that restarts on your wedding day. Tungsten cannot be resized, so on a cheap men’s band the exchange policy is the resizing policy.

Five of the six are hard metals that no jeweler can resize in the usual way. The one that can be resized, the gold band, is the most expensive and the slimmest. That trade runs through every section below.

Thorsten MURAMASA Black Titanium Ring with Black Diamonds

by Larson Jewelers

Best for: A men's band with real diamonds set in it, on a budget well under $500.

What we like

  • Eighteen black diamonds in six bezels, with the total carat weight stated on the listing
  • Half sizes from 5 to 15
  • The listing names a lifetime sizing exchange warranty

Keep in mind

  • The interior and the bezels are gold plated, not solid gold, and plating is a surface that wears

How We Chose

Men’s Wedding Bands Under $100

Under $100 is a real budget for a men’s metal band, and it buys titanium, tungsten or ceramic, never gold. Larson Jewelers’ Affordable Wedding Rings collection had 25 rings starting below that line on 14 September 2026, and two of our picks sit below it too.

What $100 Buys in Titanium and Tungsten

Titanium Style’s flat titanium band is under $100 on sale in every width from four to ten millimeters, and Groove Life prices its black tungsten band, with a silicone Alpha ring included, below the same line. Both are plain bands with nothing to wear off except, on the Groove ring, the black coating. For the full comparison of each metal, see titanium wedding bands and tungsten wedding bands.

The Wide Band Trap

The price a listing shows first is not always the price of the ring you want. Larson’s ATTOR black ceramic band is advertised from $59.99, and the listing’s own variant data puts that price on the 12mm width alone; every width from 4mm to 10mm costs more than three times as much, by our arithmetic. Most men’s bands are six or eight millimeters wide, so check the price with the width selected before comparing. Our guide to men’s wedding band width covers which width suits which hand.

A Silicone Band as the Second Ring

A silicone band is the cheapest ring a man can wear, and for many men it is the second ring rather than the only one. ThunderFit’s classic men’s silicone ring runs from under $10 for one ring to under $30 for a multipack. For work that involves machinery, ladders or live electrical parts, a silicone band is the safer ring to have on, and men’s wedding bands for work explains why.

Men’s Wedding Bands Under $200

Under $200 covers most of what the specialist men’s stores sell. At Larson Jewelers, 57 of the 92 rings in the affordable collection started under $200, across tungsten, titanium, ceramic and cobalt chrome. The DOMINUS tungsten band is one of them, and the Northern Royal band sits near the bottom of the range.

Tungsten, Titanium or Ceramic at the Same Price

At this budget the three hard metals cost roughly the same, so the choice turns on what each one does. GIA says tungsten rings cannot be resized because of their brittleness and lists titanium as limited to half a size, and Brilliant Earth writes that “Rings like tungsten, ceramic, or titanium may not be able to be fully resized due to their hardness or strength.” Ceramic is compared in its own guide, ceramic wedding bands.

The Emergency Room Question

Emergency physicians Gardiner and colleagues wrote in 2013 that titanium and tungsten carbide rings are “exceptionally difficult or impossible to remove using standard ring cutters.” A cheap hard band is not a dangerous one, but that is one more reason to get the size right at the start rather than wear a tight ring for months.

Men’s Wedding Bands With Diamonds Under $500

A man's hand on a workbench beside a steel ring mandrel and calipers, wearing a plain brushed gray wedding band

Men’s wedding bands with diamonds under $500 exist, but at this price the diamonds are small and set in an alternative metal, and the listings leave out more than they say.

What the Listing Tells You

Larson Jewelers’ Thorsten MURAMASA is black titanium with a gold-plated interior and six gold-plated stainless steel bezels, each with a row of three black diamonds. The listing states that “Its black diamonds have a TCW of 0.27”, which is the total carat weight across all eighteen stones. It is under $300 and comes in half sizes from 5 to 15.

What It Leaves Out

The listing does not say whether the black diamonds are natural or treated, and it does not say how the titanium is made black. Several cheaper Thorsten diamond bands at Larson, such as the ROYALE and COVENTRY, are marked as discontinued and sold “While supplies last,” which is why they are not picks. Ask the seller both questions in writing before buying a diamond band at this price.

Solid Gold With Diamonds Is a Different Budget

Among the listings we read, we did not find a solid gold men’s band with diamonds at this price. The solid gold band on its own crossed that line at four millimeters wide. A gold band with diamonds is a larger purchase than this page covers.

Solid Gold on a Men’s Budget

Blue Nile’s Classic Wedding Ring in 14K white gold lists at $435 to $675 across its three and four millimeter widths, so at that seller a solid gold men’s band under $500 means three millimeters or narrower. That is slim for a man’s hand. What the extra money buys is the one property the cheap metals lack: GIA lists gold as resizable up to two sizes, where tungsten cannot be resized at all.

Two things to know before choosing white gold on a budget. GIA notes that white gold may need replating every few years, which is an upkeep cost the price tag does not show. And 14K is a choice with trade-offs of its own against 10K, covered in 10K versus 14K gold.

Returns and Resizing on Cheap Men’s Bands

An open shipping box holding a small closed ring box in blank packing paper

On a band that cannot be resized, the return window and the size exchange are the only protection against a wrong size. Here is what each seller says, quoted from its own pages on 14 September 2026.

SellerReturn window, in its wordsResizing or size exchangeThe catch
Northern Royal”Full refund, no questions asked,” within 90 days, “even if you wore it for 89 days straight""Free resizing exchanges within the first 120 days""Your 90-day return, free resizing, and coverage all restart on your wedding day”; after that, a fee
Titanium Style”You may return it within 14 days for an exchange or refund.”Sizing is “covered by our 14 day return and exchange policy”Rings with diamonds or gold inlays: “25% - 35% restocking fee”
Larson Jewelers”Within 30 days from the original date of purchase” and “within the first 45 days for a full refund”A “no fee lifetime sizing warranty for tungsten wedding bands”After 45 days, “A Processing fee will be applied and additional restocking fee may be added.”
Groove Life”You can return any of our products within 30 days.""All exchanges are free for the first 30 days, and we pay to ship to you!""Custom rings can only be exchanged for a different size.”
Blue Nile”Hassle-Free Returns” on the product page; an archived copy of its returns page, from 13 August 2026, gives 30 days from the shipment date”Resize most rings up or down within two sizes,” free in the first year on eligible ringsOnly for rings “Not previously resized”
Manly Bands (not a pick)“You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return your ring for a full refund”One exchange in the first 30 daysYou may return or exchange, “you cannot do both”

Tungsten Cannot Be Resized, So the Exchange Is the Resize

When a seller offers “resizing” on tungsten, it means a new ring. Northern Royal says so directly: if the ring does not fit, “we will send you another one for free.” Larson describes its tungsten cover as a sizing warranty. Either way, the useful questions are how long the free exchange lasts, whether it restarts on the wedding day, and what it costs afterward. On those three, Northern Royal’s terms are the longest we read.

A Coating Is Not Covered Like Metal

Black rings are cheap to make black and expensive to keep black. Groove Life replaces a flaking coating free as a defect, but treats “Scratching and coating that wears down over time” as wear and tear, charged at half the retail price plus shipping. The MURAMASA’s gold-plated interior and bezels are plating too. A plain gray tungsten or titanium band has no coating to lose.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Cheapest Men’s Wedding Band?

The cheapest men’s wedding band we read on 14 September 2026 was ThunderFit’s classic silicone ring, under $10 for one. The cheapest metal men’s band was Titanium Style’s flat titanium ring, on sale for less than a hundred dollars in every width from four to ten millimeters, which covers most men’s bands.

How Much Should a Men’s Wedding Band Cost?

No price is the right one, but one dated average exists: in 2019, National Jeweler, reporting The Knot 2019 Jewelry and Engagement Study, put the average men’s band at five hundred and ten dollars. Every band on this page comes in under that. Our wedding band cost guide lists more sellers by metal.

Where to Get Good Cheap Rings for Men?

Buy from a maker or specialist that publishes the metal, the width and the return window on the product page. The men’s bands here come from Northern Royal, Titanium Style, Larson Jewelers, Groove Life and Blue Nile, and their return windows run from 14 days to 90, the difference that matters on a ring you cannot resize.

What Are Some Affordable Men’s Wedding Bands Under $100?

Two picks here come in under $100: Titanium Style’s flat titanium band on sale in the middle widths, and Groove Life’s black tungsten band, which ships with a silicone Alpha ring for work. Larson Jewelers also lists plain tungsten and ceramic bands under $100, though its cheapest ceramic price applies only to the widest width.

What Is the Most Affordable Wedding Band for Men?

Counting only the price tag, silicone. Counting the cost of getting the size wrong, the most affordable band is a tungsten ring from a seller with a long free exchange, because a hard metal cannot be resized and a second ring costs more than the difference between two listings.
